Table Lamp 001 - Hand Sawn (Floral) w/ Enamel Inlay
Ref: YC-TL-001-670-HSR
The Enamel Table Lamp combines refined architectural simplicity with Yahya’s signature hand-sawn metalwork and artisanal craftsmanship. Composed of a rectangular sculptural body, the intricate openwork brass or nickel silver patterns are backed onto a metal plate and delicately inlaid with white enamel, creating a striking contrast between the luminous enamel surface and the surrounding metalwork. Topped with a silk shade and illuminated using a traditional E14 or E27 bulb fitting, the piece is conceived as a softer ambient table lamp for bedside tables, consoles, and intimate interior spaces. Rather than projecting shadows, the light from the shade gently illuminates the handcrafted body itself, subtly valorising the intricate sawn work, enamel detailing, and material richness of the piece.

Yahya table lamps are delivered fully assembled and ready out of the box, complete with silk shades and fully integrated electrical systems. The shades are packaged separately from the lamp bodies for transport protection and are easily fitted upon installation. Each lamp incorporates a traditional E14 or E27 bulb fitting, allowing bulbs to be easily replaced without specialist maintenance or integrated LED systems.
All lamps include an integrated inline switch/interrupter and can be supplied with UK, European, or US plugs corresponding to the destination market. Wiring and electrical components are selected according to the finish of the piece, with bronze and aged brass models generally supplied with bronze textile cords, while polished silver finishes are typically paired with black cords for visual discretion and balance. The electrics remain intentionally understated in order to preserve the sculptural character of the handcrafted lamp bodies themselves.
All metal surfaces are protected using a strong interior varnish designed to preserve the warmth, depth, and finish of the material over time. Brass and aged bronze finishes naturally develop a richer patina through age and use, while polished silver finishes may gently soften over time and can be restored using standard silver polishes. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the work, subtle artisanal irregularities and variations form part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished and aged to a rich bronze patination, then protected using a strong satin interior varnish designed to preserve the finish while maintaining the natural depth and warmth of the metal. For regular care, pieces should simply be dusted using a soft dry cloth without water or abrasive cleaning products. Over time, as with all living materials, the finish may naturally deepen and evolve in tone, developing an increasingly antique character that forms part of the beauty of aged bronze and brass.
Exterior pieces are protected using specialist UV-resistant varnishes developed for outdoor bronze sculptures and artworks. While these finishes offer substantial long-term protection, natural weathering and gradual patination remain an inherent characteristic of the material over extended periods. Should the varnish eventually soften or wear after many years, surfaces may be gently waxed and buffed in the traditional manner used for fine leather or bronze objects.
Polished nickel silver is not an electroplated finish but a solid material that may naturally soften slightly over time through handling and exposure. As with traditional silver objects, the surface can be restored using standard silver polishes widely available in hardware stores, or through traditional methods such as gentle lemon-based cleaning. Microfibre cloths are recommended for routine care, while abrasive materials and scratching should be avoided. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the work, subtle artisanal irregularities, variations, and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
