Table Lamp Battery - Cube (Floral)
Ref: CL-TLB-C-HSF
The Cube Table Lamp is one of Yahya’s most technically refined and iconic lighting creations, combining pure geometric simplicity with extraordinarily complex handcrafted metalwork. Composed as a perfect cube, the piece is entirely hand-sawn using Yahya’s signature floral patterns which flow seamlessly from the top down across all sides without visible interruption or joining bands, creating a remarkably continuous sculptural surface.
Conceived as a battery-operated sculptural lamp, it is illuminated from a discreet concealed downlight integrated invisibly within the upper structure, projecting intricate patterns and atmospheric shadows onto surrounding walls and surfaces while leaving the source of light entirely unseen. With the battery and technical systems hidden within the base, the Cube Table Lamp achieves a rare balance between technical mastery, sculptural purity, and atmospheric illumination.
Perfectly suited for dining tables, the Cube Table Lamp brings a warm source of light directly onto the table surface without blinding those seated around it, offering a refined contemporary alternative to traditional candlelight centrepieces. Free from visible wires or cables and easily moved wherever desired, the piece is equally suited to console tables, bedside tables, and intimate interior spaces where atmospheric sculptural lighting is desired.

Many Yahya pieces can be adapted as either battery-operated or fully electrified sculptural lamps. Battery-operated versions are typically illuminated using concealed downlights positioned within the upper section of the piece, allowing the light to project intricate patterns and shadows onto the surrounding floors and surfaces. Rechargeable lithium batteries and drivers are discreetly integrated within the base itself and are recharged in the same manner as a mobile phone or portable electronic device. Each piece incorporates separate on/off switches for both the lamp and the battery system, allowing the battery to be turned off when not in use in order to preserve long-term battery life.
Electrified versions are delivered fully assembled and ready out of the box, requiring no installation unless specified for hardwired applications. Pieces may be plugged directly into a standard power outlet or supplied for hardwired installation if required. Each electrified piece includes an integrated inline switch/interrupter and can be supplied with UK, European, or US plugs and compatible drivers corresponding to the destination market. Brass and aged bronze finishes are typically illuminated at 2700K for a warmer candle-like glow, while polished nickel silver versions are generally supplied at 3000K, better suited to the cooler reflective finish.
All pieces are protected using a strong interior varnish designed to preserve the finish while maintaining the warmth and depth of the metal. While primarily conceived for interior use, exterior versions can also be produced upon request using waterproofed electrical systems and specialist UV-resistant exterior-grade protective coatings adapted for outdoor environments.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished and aged to a rich bronze patination, then protected using a strong satin interior varnish designed to preserve the finish while maintaining the natural depth and warmth of the metal. For regular care, pieces should simply be dusted using a soft dry cloth without water or abrasive cleaning products. Over time, as with all living materials, the finish may naturally deepen and evolve in tone, developing an increasingly antique character that forms part of the beauty of aged bronze and brass.
Exterior pieces are protected using specialist UV-resistant varnishes developed for outdoor bronze sculptures and artworks. While these finishes offer substantial long-term protection, natural weathering and gradual patination remain an inherent characteristic of the material over extended periods. Should the varnish eventually soften or wear after many years, surfaces may be gently waxed and buffed in the traditional manner used for fine leather or bronze objects.
Polished nickel silver is not an electroplated finish but a solid material that may naturally soften slightly over time through handling and exposure. As with traditional silver objects, the surface can be restored using standard silver polishes widely available in hardware stores, or through traditional methods such as gentle lemon-based cleaning. Microfibre cloths are recommended for routine care, while abrasive materials and scratching should be avoided. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the work, subtle artisanal irregularities, variations, and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
