Console Table N°14
Ref: F-CT-014
Console Table No. 14 is a monumental architectural console originally designed for the Royal Mansour, combining sculptural Andalusian ironwork with the refinement and weightlessness of floating marble surfaces. The composition is structured around four heavily forged iron supports formed from intricate scrolling ornamental metalwork inspired by traditional Andalusian craftsmanship and architectural detailing. Resting above and below the sculptural iron structure are substantial marble surfaces whose visual lightness contrasts with the richness and complexity of the forged metalwork. Despite the apparent delicacy of the composition, the piece is supported internally by a concealed architectural framework that preserves the purity and elegance of the visible structure while allowing the marble surfaces to appear almost suspended in space. The balance between hand-forged ironwork, stone, and hidden engineering creates a console that feels simultaneously historic, architectural, and timeless.
Hand-forged Andalusian ironwork with sculptural scroll detailing combined with marble surfaces and concealed architectural support structure.
1800 x 500 x 900 (h) mm
The console table incorporates a concealed internal architectural support structure designed to anchor the composition securely to the wall while preserving the visual lightness and purity of the forged ironwork. The hand-forged iron structure and concealed framework are installed first and fixed securely into the wall structure before placement of the removable marble top surface. The marble top is designed to remain demountable for transport, maintenance, and installation purposes while maintaining the seamless appearance of the overall composition.
The forged ironwork should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, excessive moisture, or aggressive cleaning materials should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the forged metal finish and protective treatments.
The marble surfaces should be cleaned using a soft cloth and appropriate stone-safe cleaning products. Acidic substances, harsh chemicals, and abrasive materials should be avoided in order to preserve the natural finish of the stone. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the forged ironwork, subtle artisanal irregularities, variations, and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
