Pendant - Globe Double Dome (Floral)
Ref: L-PL-003-HSF
The Double-Hat Globe Pendant is a refined evolution of one of Yahya's most iconic lighting designs, combining decorative illumination with functional architectural lighting. Entirely hand-sawn and hand-engraved with Yahya's signature floral motifs, the spherical body is composed of eight intricately crafted sections that are carefully welded together and finished seamlessly, concealing the complexity of its construction. Eight floating Fibonacci medallions are integrated within the openwork structure, creating rhythm, balance, and visual depth throughout the composition.
Above the globe, a sculptural domed hat transitions elegantly into the suspension chain and decorative ceiling plate, whilst a second domed hat beneath the globe conceals an integrated downlight. This dual-hat configuration allows the pendant to function simultaneously as an atmospheric decorative lantern and a source of focused illumination below. The floral ornamentation is distinguished by a layered composition in which larger motifs establish a strong visual presence from afar, whilst finer details gradually reveal themselves upon closer inspection, enriching the piece with depth, texture, and visual discovery.
Illuminated from within by concealed light sources, the pendant projects intricate patterns of light and shadow through the hand-sawn metalwork whilst simultaneously providing controlled downward illumination. Particularly suited to dining tables, reception spaces, luxury residences, palaces, boutique hotels, and hospitality environments, the Double-Hat Globe Pendant transforms the surrounding architecture through light, ornament, and atmosphere. Timeless, elegant, and instantly recognisable, it remains one of the most versatile and enduring interpretations of Yahya's celebrated Globe collection.

The pendant is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed behind a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections and drivers are housed within the canopy, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The spherical body is composed of eight hand-sawn and hand-engraved sections that are carefully welded together and finished seamlessly to create the impression of a single continuous globe. The composition incorporates an upper domed hat and a lower domed hat, creating a balanced architectural form whilst concealing the integrated lighting components. Both the upper and lower domed sections incorporate concealed twist-lock fixing systems, allowing straightforward access to the LED components and electrical systems for maintenance without dismantling the hand-sawn globe itself.
The lighting system incorporates two independent light sources. The first illuminates the globe internally, projecting decorative patterns through the hand-sawn floral metalwork. The second is concealed within the lower domed section and provides a focused downlight beneath the pendant, allowing the piece to function simultaneously as an atmospheric decorative light and a practical task light. The Double-Hat Globe Pendant is available in five standard sizes, with larger bespoke versions available upon request. Exterior versions may also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and a specialist UV-resistant protective coating system for long-term outdoor durability.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments.
Polished nickel silver is a solid material rather than a plated finish and may naturally soften slightly over time. Where required, it may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods, followed by careful rinsing and drying. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the work, subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of the piece.
