The Large Liquid Light Flame Pendant transforms one of Yahya's most iconic lighting designs into a monumental architectural statement. Inspired by the elegant teardrop forms found in the ancient architecture of the Islamic world, the pendant combines exceptional scale with a contemporary language of light. Formed from an elongated teardrop upper section, a central metal body intentionally left plain to provide visual contrast and conceal the lighting system, and a finely detailed lower dome terminating in a delicate ornamental finial, the composition is distinguished by Yahya's signature Liquid Light pattern. Thousands of precisely executed micro-perforations transform the metal surface into a luminous veil, allowing light to emerge as a constellation of points that animate both the pendant and the surrounding architecture. At larger scales, the piece takes on a new dimension, projecting intricate fields of light and shadow across walls, ceilings, and architectural surfaces while transforming from a lighting fixture into a sculptural centrepiece capable of defining an entire space. Both timeless and contemporary, it remains one of Yahya's most celebrated and widely imitated creations.

The pendant is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed behind a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections and drivers are housed within the canopy, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The lighting system incorporates two concealed light sources. The first illuminates the upper teardrop section from within, whilst the second is concealed within the lower dome section. The perforated sections are removable through a concealed twist-lock fixing system, allowing straightforward access for lamp replacement and maintenance.
The Large Liquid Light Flame Pendant is available in three larger standard sizes specifically developed for double-height spaces, stairwells, hospitality environments, and large architectural interiors. Bespoke dimensions may also be commissioned upon request. Whilst designed primarily for interior use, exterior versions can also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and a specialist UV-resistant protective coating system for long-term outdoor durability.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments.
Polished nickel silver is a solid material rather than a plated finish and may naturally soften slightly over time. Where required, it may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods, followed by careful rinsing and drying. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the work, subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of the piece.
