The Alya Chandelier is a refined architectural lighting design that combines a sculptural central body with a constellation of suspended lanterns arranged around its perimeter. At its centre sits a decorative drum-shaped structure entirely hand-sawn and hand-engraved with Yahya's signature floral motifs, creating a richly detailed focal point from every angle. Extending gracefully from the central body, six suspended lanterns are supported by elegant brackets, introducing rhythm, movement, and visual lightness to the overall composition. Each lantern combines hand-sawn metalwork with glass panels, creating a harmonious balance between craftsmanship, transparency, and illumination. Designed to provide a warm and comfortable ambient glow rather than decorative projection, the Alya Chandelier is a sophisticated statement piece that combines architectural presence with exceptional artisanal detail. The chandelier is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed within a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections, transformers, and drivers are housed within the upper structure, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The composition incorporates a central drum-shaped body fabricated in hand-sawn and hand-engraved floral metalwork, from which six lanterns are suspended on decorative brackets arranged around the perimeter. Each lantern combines handcrafted metalwork with glass panels and incorporates concealed diffuser systems that soften the illumination whilst preventing direct visibility of the light sources. The central body and lanterns are designed as a unified composition whilst allowing access to the lighting systems through concealed fixing systems integrated within the structure.
The lighting system is designed to provide balanced ambient illumination without decorative shadow projection. Concealed diffusers within both the central body and the lanterns distribute the light evenly, creating a warm architectural glow whilst enhancing the richness of the handcrafted detailing. The Alya Chandelier is available in multiple standard sizes, with bespoke dimensions available upon request. Exterior versions may also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and specialist UV-resistant protective coating systems where required.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
The glass panels and concealed diffuser elements should be cleaned periodically using a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable non-abrasive glass cleaner. Care should be taken to avoid contact between aggressive cleaning products and adjacent metal finishes. Abrasive pads, polishing compounds, or products that may damage the glass or metal surfaces should never be used.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments. Polished nickel silver may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods where required. Subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
