The Floral Octagonal Chandelier is a sculptural lighting design that combines the richness of traditional craftsmanship with a refined architectural presence. Formed around an octagonal base, the composition expands gracefully outward through a series of faceted hand-sawn and hand-engraved floral panels that create the impression of a flower in bloom. Suspended from eight elegant chains connected to a central ceiling canopy, the chandelier appears both substantial and remarkably light. Concealed diffusers positioned behind the intricate metalwork soften and distribute the illumination, allowing the floral patterns themselves to become luminous surfaces rather than sources of decorative projection. The chandelier is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed within a decorative ceiling canopy. Eight suspension chains connect the body of the chandelier to the upper structure, creating a balanced architectural composition whilst providing structural support. The electrical connections, transformers, and drivers are housed within the upper structure, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The composition incorporates an octagonal framework clad with hand-sawn and hand-engraved floral metalwork panels that expand outward to create a sculptural flower-like form. Concealed diffusers positioned behind the decorative metalwork soften the illumination and prevent direct visibility of the light sources, ensuring visual comfort whilst enhancing the richness of the handcrafted detailing.
The lighting system is designed to illuminate the decorative metalwork from within rather than project decorative shadows onto surrounding surfaces. Light is distributed evenly through the concealed diffuser system, allowing the floral patterns to become luminous architectural elements in their own right. The Floral Octagonal Chandelier is available in multiple standard sizes, with bespoke dimensions available upon request. Exterior versions may also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and specialist UV-resistant protective coating systems where required.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
The concealed diffuser elements should be cleaned periodically using a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable non-abrasive cleaner appropriate to the diffuser material. Care should be taken not to apply excessive pressure to the decorative metalwork during cleaning or maintenance operations.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments. Polished nickel silver may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods where required. Subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
