The Medina Crystal Chandelier is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic chandeliers that have illuminated mosques, palaces, and historic architectural spaces throughout the Arab world for centuries. Reimagined through Yahya's signature hand-sawn and hand-engraved floral metalwork combined with crystal, the chandelier preserves the elegance of the traditional form whilst introducing a distinctly contemporary refinement. At its centre, a sculptural body composed of intricate floral metalwork and crystal creates a luminous architectural presence, whilst four gracefully curved arms support illuminated crystal cups that provide additional layers of light and visual richness. Delicate crystal elements suspended beneath the composition enhance its brilliance and complete its silhouette. Timeless, elegant, and richly atmospheric, the Medina Crystal Chandelier celebrates the enduring beauty of traditional Arabesque lighting through the language of contemporary craftsmanship.

The chandelier is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed within a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections, transformers, and drivers are housed within the upper structure, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The composition incorporates a central body combining hand-sawn and hand-engraved floral metalwork with crystal elements arranged in a layered architectural composition. Four decorative arms extend from the central structure, each supporting an illuminated crystal cup that contributes both functional illumination and visual balance. Decorative crystal elements suspended beneath the chandelier enhance the brilliance of the piece whilst completing the overall silhouette. Concealed diffuser systems integrated throughout the structure soften the illumination and prevent direct visibility of the light sources.
The lighting system incorporates multiple independent light sources. The illuminated crystal cups provide ambient and functional illumination, whilst additional concealed lighting integrated within the central body enhances the crystal and decorative metalwork. The Medina Crystal Chandelier is available in multiple standard sizes, with bespoke dimensions available upon request. Exterior versions may also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and specialist UV-resistant protective coating systems where required.
The crystal elements, crystal cups, and decorative crystal components should be cleaned periodically using a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable non-abrasive glass or crystal cleaner. Care should be taken to avoid excessive pressure on decorative crystal elements during maintenance operations.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish. Care should be taken to avoid contact between aggressive cleaning products and adjacent crystal elements.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments. Polished nickel silver may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods where required. Subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
