Pendant - Cylinder (Floral)

The Cylinder Pendant is a refined architectural lighting design originally created for Villa Treville, combining elegant proportions with exceptional craftsmanship. Entirely hand-sawn and hand-engraved with Yahya's signature floral motifs, the pendant is composed of a slender cylindrical body framed by sculptural domed caps above and below. The elongated form brings a strong vertical presence whilst maintaining remarkable visual lightness and refinement. A concealed internal diffuser softens the light source within the central body, allowing the intricate metalwork to remain the visual focus whilst ensuring a comfortable and balanced illumination. Illuminated from within, the pendant projects rich patterns of light and shadow through the hand-sawn floral metalwork, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and architectural. Timeless, elegant, and highly versatile, the Cylinder Pendant is particularly suited to entrances, terraces, corridors, stairwells, and hospitality environments.

The pendant is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed behind a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections and drivers are housed within the canopy, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The composition incorporates a hand-sawn and hand-engraved cylindrical body framed by decorative domed caps above and below. A concealed internal diffuser is integrated behind the central openwork section, softening the light source and preventing direct visibility of the electrical components whilst preserving the visual clarity of the hand-sawn metalwork. Access to the lighting system is provided through concealed twist-lock fixing systems integrated within the decorative upper and lower sections, allowing straightforward maintenance and lamp replacement.
The lighting system incorporates three independent light sources. The first illuminates the upper dome internally, projecting decorative patterns onto surrounding architectural surfaces. The second illuminates the central cylindrical body through the concealed diffuser, creating a soft and even ambient glow. The third illuminates the lower dome, enhancing the decorative projection and creating visual balance throughout the composition. The Cylinder Pendant is available in multiple standard sizes, with bespoke dimensions available upon request. Exterior versions may also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and specialist UV-resistant protective coating systems where required.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
The internal diffuser should be cleaned periodically using a soft lint-free cloth. Care should be taken not to use abrasive products that may mark or reduce the clarity of the diffuser material.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments. Polished nickel silver may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods where required. Subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
