The Floral Flame Pendant is one of Yahya's most iconic and recognisable lighting designs and among the defining works of the Heritage Collection. Inspired by the elegant teardrop forms found in the ancient architecture of the Islamic world, the pendant combines sculptural presence with extraordinary craftsmanship. Entirely hand-sawn and hand-engraved with Yahya's signature floral motifs, the composition is formed from an elongated teardrop upper section, a central metal body intentionally left plain to provide visual contrast and conceal the lighting system, and a finely detailed lower dome terminating in a delicate ornamental finial. The intricate floral metalwork filters light to create a rich interplay of shadow and illumination, transforming the surrounding space into a luminous architectural environment. Both timeless and contemporary, the Floral Flame Pendant has become one of Yahya's most celebrated and widely imitated creations.

The pendant is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed behind a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections and drivers are housed within the canopy, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The lighting system incorporates two concealed light sources. The first illuminates the upper teardrop section from within, whilst the second is concealed within the lower dome section. The hand-sawn sections are removable through a concealed twist-lock fixing system, allowing straightforward access for lamp replacement and maintenance.
The Floral Flame Pendant is available in three standard sizes, with larger bespoke versions available upon request. Whilst designed primarily for interior use, exterior versions can also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and a specialist UV-resistant protective coating system for long-term outdoor durability.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments.
Polished nickel silver is a solid material rather than a plated finish and may naturally soften slightly over time. Where required, it may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods, followed by careful rinsing and drying. Due to the entirely handmade nature of the work, subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
