The Jungle Globe Pendant is a refined interpretation of one of Yahya's most iconic lighting forms, combining sculptural elegance with intricate handcrafted detail. Entirely hand-sawn and hand-engraved, the spherical body is composed of eight meticulously crafted sections that are carefully assembled, welded, and finished seamlessly, concealing the complexity of its construction. The ornamentation is distinguished by the signature Jungle pattern, a richly layered composition in which larger floral motifs establish a strong visual presence from afar, whilst smaller floral motifs gradually reveal themselves upon closer inspection, creating depth, texture, and visual discovery. Above the globe, a sculptural domed hat transitions elegantly into the suspension chain and decorative ceiling plate, providing a refined architectural termination to the form. Illuminated from within, the globe projects intricate patterns of light and shadow onto surrounding surfaces, transforming the space through a delicate interplay of illumination and ornament. Suspended as a luminous sculptural presence, the pendant is equally suited to private residences, hospitality environments, reception spaces, and intimate dining settings. The pendant is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed behind a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections and drivers are housed within the canopy, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The spherical body is composed of eight hand-sawn and hand-engraved sections that are carefully welded together and finished seamlessly to create the impression of a single continuous globe. The light source is accessed from the upper domed hat section, which can be released through a concealed twist-lock fixing system, allowing straightforward lamp replacement and maintenance without dismantling the hand-sawn globe itself.
The Globe Pendant is available in five standard sizes, ranging from intimate residential scales to large architectural statement pieces. Larger bespoke versions may also be commissioned upon request. Whilst designed primarily for interior use, exterior versions can also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and a specialist UV-resistant protective coating system developed for long-term outdoor durability.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
The concealed diffuser elements should be cleaned periodically using a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable non-abrasive cleaner appropriate to the diffuser material. Care should be taken not to apply excessive pressure to the decorative metalwork during cleaning or maintenance operations.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments. Polished nickel silver may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods where required. Subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
