The Crystal Globe Pendant is a sophisticated reinterpretation of one of Yahya's most iconic lighting designs, created specifically for the Zeffirelli Suite at Villa Treville. Combining hand-sawn metalwork with cut crystal, the pendant retains the celebrated spherical silhouette of the Globe collection whilst introducing a new interplay between transparency, light, and craftsmanship. The upper and lower sections are entirely hand-sawn and hand-engraved with Yahya's signature floral motifs, while the central body is formed from precisely cut crystal panels carefully integrated within a concealed structural framework. Illuminated from within, the crystal softly diffuses light throughout the globe whilst the hand-sawn metalwork projects intricate patterns onto surrounding surfaces. Elegant, refined, and highly architectural, the Crystal Globe Pendant combines decorative atmosphere, functional illumination, and exceptional craftsmanship within a single sculptural form.

The pendant is suspended from a structural ceiling fixation plate concealed behind a decorative ceiling canopy. The electrical connections and drivers are housed within the canopy, allowing convenient access for maintenance whilst remaining completely hidden from view.
The composition combines hand-sawn and hand-engraved upper and lower metal sections with a central body formed from precision-cut crystal panels integrated within a concealed structural framework. Access to the lighting system is provided through concealed twist-lock fixing systems incorporated within the upper and lower decorative sections, allowing straightforward maintenance and lamp replacement.
The lighting system incorporates three independent light sources. The first illuminates the upper hand-sawn section, projecting decorative patterns onto surrounding ceilings. The second illuminates the lower hand-sawn section, creating matching decorative projection beneath the pendant. The third is concealed within the lower section and provides a focused downlight beneath the fixture, allowing the pendant to function simultaneously as an atmospheric decorative light and a practical task light. The Crystal Globe Pendant is available in multiple standard sizes, with larger bespoke versions available upon request. Exterior versions may also be specified with IP67-rated electrical components and specialist UV-resistant protective coating systems where required.
The brass with aged bronze finish or polished nickel silver surfaces should be lightly dusted using a soft dry cloth or microfibre cloth. Abrasive products, aggressive cleaning materials, and excessive moisture should be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of the finish.
The crystal elements should be cleaned periodically using a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable non-abrasive glass or crystal cleaner. Care should be taken to avoid contact between aggressive cleaning products and adjacent metal finishes.
Our brass pieces are hand-finished, aged to a rich bronze patination, and protected with a durable lacquer system. Interior versions utilise a specialist interior lacquer, whilst exterior versions receive a UV-resistant protective coating developed specifically for outdoor environments. Polished nickel silver may be maintained using a quality silver polish or traditional lemon-based cleaning methods where required. Subtle variations and traces of hand craftsmanship form an intentional part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
